Design inspiration for these Painted Fall Leaf Cookies came from a very fond memory. Read along as I reminisce about that memory and take you on a journey that is sure to resonate with you as well.

The leaves on my trees outside my window are turning very lovely shades of brown, red, and orange and it instantly took me back to my childhood. I remember raking leaves with my grandmother and bagging them. My brother and I always wanted to jump in the piles that we’d made while my grandmother wanted always to just pick up the leaves.

Painted Fall Leaf Cookies

I smiled remembering my grandmother and our time together.  Seeing the leaves gave me the inspiration to decorate leaf cookies and paint them the lovely cool shades of brown, red, and orange that you see on them.

These Painted Fall Leaf Cookies are the perfect way to bring out a little bit of Fall even with cookies. The cookies were created using an awesome painting effect that gave them the depth that I just love that makes them look real.
