Cake pops are a great dessert option for the summer – not only are they a crowd pleaser, they don’t require serving utensils – or even a plate – making them a no-fuss treat for picnics or parades.

Red, White, and Blue Cake Pop Flavor Variations
So, I get it. Sometimes you just may not want to go through the trouble of baking a cake from scratch. I understand, (mom of 3 here…) I have used a cake mix from time to time, especially in times like then, when I’m adding other products in with the cake like jar cakes, cake pops, or even cakesicles.

Ingredients
white cake mix prepared according to box directions
2-3 tbsp white frosting
11 oz white chocolate chips
sprinkles
cake pop skewers
Directions
Allow the cake to cool completely after baking according to box directions.
Using a fork, crumble the entire cake.
Add frosting to the crumbled cake.
Mix well (I use my hands) until dough is able to be formed into balls.
Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with wax paper.
Melt a small amount of white chocolate chips on low heat in the microwave stirring between each cycle for 10 seconds each until melted.
Dip the skewers into melted chocolate and then push them into the cake pops.
Refrigerate for 1 hour.
Melt remaining white chocolate chips using the same method as previous.
Roll each cake pop in melted chocolate, allowing the excess to drip off.
Add sprinkles quickly before chocolate hardens.
Chill before serving.
